Hello! My name is Maria, my motivation to start KurvasMG goes back to my childhood. As a child I was bullied about my height and weight. As a teenager I was traumatized after visiting stores and being unable to find clothes that fit. By the time I was 16 years old I was wearing clothes designed for adults. I grew up with low self-esteem and believing I was ugly.

I have always wanted to have a store where women like me are able to find clothes that fit and embrace our curves. I believe we have a natural beauty. It’s not what we wear or the brand we choose, it’s how we feel when we wear the piece of clothes. The most important thing is you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make it happen.

Along the way I met my husband. I shared my dream with him and he gave me the confidence and strength to make it happen. On October 2019 I opened my online store KurvasMG. We started with offering plus size only clothes. Because curves come in different shapes and sizes, in May of 2020, we began offering clothes for small, medium, and large size women along with accessories.

Many years later as a plus size it can still be difficult to find something that fits in one place. My goal with KurvasMG is to offer a wide selection of clothing for all sizes from small to plus size. To create a place where everyone feels welcome because there is something here for everyone. One size fits all couldn’t be further from the truth at KurvasMG.
